It's been two full weeks and hasn't come on by itself, so I think it's fixed! The customer service was excellent.I like the more "modern" look of this fan. I've raised my "stars" rating to 4 since it is working now. It's not a 5 because of the initial problem, and one other design issue I don't like. The way the glass is installed over the light, it's very difficult to take off, as the metal ring with three screws in it holds the glass and needs to be removed, but you need to hold the glass at the same time.
